Renaissance Pointe

Renaissance Pointe is Open

Site Plan Concepts L1

A once-overlooked stretch of the waterfront is now a place to pause, reflect, and connect.

Inspired by a simple question — “Why does the trail just end like this?” — and carried forward by a community that chose to say yes, Renaissance Pointe is now open to the public.

What’s the Pointe?

Renaissance Pointe began with CCSO Sgt. Jeremy R. Brown (EOW: 7/23/21).

This was his favorite stretch of the river — part of his daily walk, a place to pause and take it all in.

Not long before he was taken from us, Jeremy asked a simple question:

“Why does this trail just end like this?
Isn’t there something we can do?”

There was.

And with the help of an extraordinary community, that question became something more.

What It Is Today

Today, Renaissance Pointe is a completed public space along the Columbia River — a place designed with intention.

A place to pause, reflect, take a breath and connect.

This space was built with care, purpose, and community at its core.

The project was carried forward by people who showed up — in ways both visible and unseen. From generous funding and land contributions, to thoughtful design, construction, advocacy, and support — Renaissance Pointe exists because of a collective effort.

We are deeply grateful to the project partners, supporters, and community members who believed in this vision and helped bring it to life.

Pointe Toward the Future

Renaissance Pointe now becomes part of the community it was built for.

This space exists because people cared enough to create it.

And it will continue to thrive because people choose to care for it.

In partnership with the City of Vancouver and the Parks Foundation of Clark County, there will be ongoing opportunities to support, care for, and sustain this space for years to come.

Opportunities may include:

  • Volunteer support
  • Adopt-a-Park participation
  • Contributions toward long-term maintenance and stewardship

If you’re interested in staying connected or getting involved, we’d love to hear from you.
